How long does an installation take?
Most installations are completed in a single day. More involved jobs — a new flue liner, or minor building work — can take two.
Do I need planning permission?
In most cases, no. Listed buildings and conservation areas can carry extra requirements, and we'll advise you during the survey.
Can you install if I don't have a chimney?
Yes. We fit twin-wall insulated flue systems that run up through the roof, so an existing chimney isn't essential.
What is HETAS and why does it matter?
HETAS is the official register for solid-fuel appliances. A HETAS-registered installation is certified and self-notified to building control, so there's no extra paperwork for you.
How much disruption should I expect?
We use dust sheets and clean as we go. Most customers are pleasantly surprised at how tidy the room is left.
How much does installation cost?
Every home is different, so we quote after a free survey. There is no obligation and no pressure.
Do I need to wait before using the stove?
If we've used fire cement or laid a new hearth, we'll tell you the curing time — usually 24 to 48 hours.
