How often should I have my chimney swept?
For a wood-burning stove in regular use, once a year is the standard recommendation. Heavier use or burning unseasoned wood can mean twice a year.
Will it make a mess?
No. We seal the appliance and use a HEPA-filtered vacuum throughout, so the work stays clean and contained. We leave the hearth as we found it.
Do you provide a certificate?
Yes — you'll receive an industry-recognised sweeping certificate on the day, which is what most home insurers ask for.
How long does a sweep take?
A standard sweep takes around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the flue and how long since it was last done.
Can you sweep any type of chimney?
